Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and creative Part-Time Social Media Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Social Media Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing innovative social media strategies for our cannabis clients, helping them establish a strong online presence and engage with their target audience. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth of the cannabis industry and work with industry-leading brands.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies for cannabis clients, aligning with their brand identity and marketing objectives.
- Create engaging, high-quality content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Manage social media accounts, including posting updates, monitoring comments/messages, and engaging with followers to build a strong online community.
- Conduct social media audits and competitor analysis to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new social media platforms/features, and emerging best practices in cannabis digital marketing.
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure cohesive brand messaging and storytelling across social media channels.
- Monitor social media analytics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate insightful reports to measure the success of campaigns and optimize strategies.
- Stay informed about cannabis regulations and ensure compliance with advertising guidelines on social media platforms.
- Continuously explore innovative ways to increase organic reach, user engagement, and brand visibility on social media.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in the cannabis industry or within a digital marketing agency.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and best practices.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and scheduling tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt writing style for different social media platforms.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging and visually appealing content.
- Familiarity with cannabis culture, industry trends, and a passion for cannabis advocacy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret social media data and make data-driven decisions.
- Understanding of SEO principles and their application in social media marketing.
- Familiarity with cannabis advertising regulations on social media platforms.
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Pay:
- $15-19 per hour.
- Workflow: 20-25 hours per week.
