We’re now looking for a Content Protection Manager to join our team in the Americas. The Content Protection team at Spotify is responsible for carrying out our intellectual property policies on our content catalog ensuring that the consumer experience is free from infringing content and that the properties of our licensors are respected. The team collaborates cross-functionally with Product, Tech, Legal, Trust & Safety, Customer/Creator Support, and other teams to develop balanced and scalable solutions. The focus of this role will be to increase the escalations support in the Americas while still giving to the overall team responsibilities. The team is global, and we have team members in New York, London, Stockholm, Dubai, Mumbai, and Seoul.

What You’ll Do

  • Process different types of high-volume incoming infringement claims efficiently, including management of take-down processes.
  • Troubleshoot infringement-related issues and advance accordingly.
  • Support various Legal and Licensing teams with case research and information gathering.
  • Liaise with our rights holders, claimants, content providers, and internal teams.
  • Assess and understand the impact of implementing new operational processes.
  • Collaborate closely with our support teams and their agents to drive operational excellence.
  • Work cross-functionally with a range of teams at Spotify including our Artist & Label teams, PR, Legal, and R&D.
  • Support training teams in implementing new workflows.
  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and documentation regarding the handling of infringement claims.
  • Communicate complex technical problems and solutions to non-technical internal and external partners in an understandable way.

Who You Are

  • Proficient in English.
  • Years of experience in the music and/or podcast industry.
  • Deep understanding of music, podcasts, copyright, and technology.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Diligent and focused on scalable solutions.
  • Skilled in providing concise summaries for stakeholders.
  • Motivated to continuously improve work methods.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn in a changing environment.
  • Strong multitasking, time-management, and organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable with asynchronous workflows.
  • Proficient in analyzing complex data and using SQL/BigQuery.
  • Resilient and efficient under stress and tight deadlines.
  • Follows workflows diligently while remaining flexible in challenging situations.

The United States base range for this position is $82,921- 118,459 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
